Para cresyl acetate demands respect—this is one of perfumery's most powerful and potentially treacherous materials. At full strength, it reveals horse-like, almost urinous undertones that can ruin compositions. But dilute below 1% and something magical happens: a gorgeous narcissus-lily character emerges, fresh yet unmistakably animalic in the way real spring bulbs smell on a warm day. This material provides the distinctive animal note that makes bulbous flower accords convincing.
