Roughly twenty times vanillin's strength, it carries a heliotrope-violet dimension neither of those workhorses possess — plus tobacco warmth, a woody-spicy edge, and a powdery finish that belongs in a different league. That potency changes how you work. Derive no more than half your vanilla character from vanitrope, filling the rest with ethyl vanillin or vanillin for balance.
