Qué es este material

Skatole has a strong, fecal, and indolic scent that can be quite polarizing. It opens with a sharp, somewhat animalic note that can be off-putting in high concentrations, but as it develops, it reveals a surprisingly sweet, floral undertone reminiscent of jasmine or certain tropical flowers. In a formula, skatole acts as a powerful fixative and can add depth to compositions, particularly in creating a more complex, earthy base. It pairs well with floral notes, especially those that have a sweet or creamy character, and can also enhance the richness of woody accords. Typically, it is used at around 5.000%, which allows its unique qualities to shine without overwhelming the blend.
