Erotix Room formula
A room fragrance written for the hour after, not the hour before. Warm and enveloping: saffron, damask rose and pink pepper over a skin accord — castoreum, honey, ambrarome and a trace of cumin so low it reads as a body in the room rather than as a spice. The woods underneath are dry on purpose: patchouli, clearwood, vetiver and ambroxan hold the sweetness of benzoin, tonka and vanilla at a ratio of one to four, because in a room sweetness settles on the fabric instead of evaporating. An adversarial review rebuilt about a third of the first version: the laundry musks came down, fatty and animalic ones went up, and the dark resins were halved and partly replaced by their oils, so the spray stays light on pale curtains. Intended at 12 to 15% in 96° ethanol, matured two weeks and filtered before use.
