About this material

Cinnamyl acetate is cinnamon's softer, more floral side. Where cinnamaldehyde burns and cinnamyl alcohol warms, cinnamyl acetate sweetens and lifts, with a gentle spicy-balsamic character and unexpected fruity-green facets. It occurs naturally in ylang ylang, cinnamon leaf, and narcissus absolute. Use cinnamyl acetate to add sweet, warm spice to your floral compositions without the harshness of cinnamic aldehyde. It excels in hyacinth, narcissus, and honeysuckle accords, where its mild balsamic warmth blends seamlessly. In rose compositions it contributes a subtle oriental spiciness.
