Isoraldeine 70 is the workhorse grade of Givaudan's alpha-isomethyl ionone line — 70% purity, which means roughly 30% of the mixture consists of other methyl ionone isomers. Those additional isomers are not waste; they contribute a woodier, drier, more leathery character that some perfumers actually prefer. This is not a lesser Isoraldeine 95 — it is a different tool. We also sell Methyl Ionone Alpha Extra as the direct equivalent of Isoraldeine 70. Same molecule, same purity tier, same olfactive profile. The additional isomers in both give them more body and more woody backbone than the purer grades.
