More complex and, sadly, more restricted than Methyl Heptine Carbonate (MHC), the octine variant of this family is a lovely green and slightly fruity aroma chemical (in the direction of strawberry but not so pronounced as ethyl decine carbonate, another marvel) that lends its magic (which is effective in traces fortunately) to numerous fragrances such as Chanel's Coco Noir at 0.08%, and there is even a trace (0.001%) in Kurkdjian's Oud Satin Mood where it modifies a large dose of Methyl Ionone Gamma Coeur .
