Cos'è questo materiale

Gamma Undecalactone (also incorrectly referred to as Aldehyde C-14 as it is really a lactone and not an aldehyde) is the classic peach note for perfumes. It was discovered in 1908 and was first used as part of the key of the sweet Persicol base in Nuit de Chine (1913) by Maurice Schaller for Paul Poiret's Les Parfums de Rosine, but most famously a few years later as the key peach note (in the same Persicol base) in Mitsouko (1919) by Jacques Guerlain. Undecalactone Gamma can be used at 1% dilution to add a luscious and softening effect to a fragrance, and in higher doses (at 10% or pure) for a clearly peach-like quality. Amounts under 1% are most common but there is no limit on this material… — Fraterworks
