Benzyl Salicylate is a wonderful light floraliser, fixative and solar aroma chemical that can be used at high doses to provide a soft and delicate canvas upon which to layer rich florals. It is indispensable for transforming a blend of eugenol, patchouli and lily of the valley into the famous Mellis accord, key to such fragrances as Coco and Poison. Some people cannot smell benzyl salicylate but will still perceive its effect in a fragrance. As mentioned Benzyl Salicylate blends beautifully with all types of Patchouli and florals but especially Ylang-Ylang . — Fraterworks
