Claritone is a multi-layered beast. It is herbal (in the direction of clary sage), peony floral, vaguely fruity and, to top it off, it sparkles like a coupe of champagne! While its most obvious use will be fougères, it can add diffusion and interest to all types of fragrances and it shouldn't be relegated to masculines only. It is a nice top note modifier in small amounts, but you can also push it to the extreme in overdose. Claritone was used at 1.5% in Clive Christian 1872 . — Fraterworks
