Dimetol AKA Freesia Heptanol is used in the same way as dihydromyrcenol but for some reason it has never attracted quite the same superstar level of appeal despite being universally liked. Nevertheless it has still found fairly wide use in gentlemen's scents such as the original Polo Green , Pour Lui by Oscar de la Renta, Van Cleef and Arpels for Men and Paco Rabanne . This material has a natural brightness reminiscent of lime and lemon zest, making it suitable for modern, fresh, and clean compositions. Its unique character contributes a green sparkle and lively diffusivity to the top and heart notes of a fragrance. — Fraterworks
