Florex (also known as Tonka Undecanone) is a powerful and long lasting lactone with a clearly coumarin note but nuances of wood and amber. In Firmenich's own words: “A very powerful and tenacious balsamic, Tonka-like note with a unique tangy quality. It has a sweet yet tart character that suggests tobacco and coconut with a green nuance. It can be used in all types of perfumes but has especially interesting effects in white florals, citrus and fruity accords.” — Fraterworks
