Scent: sweet-herbaceous, soft, hay, tobacco, honey and chocolate nuances. The so-called hay absolutes available on the market are usually substances obtained from two species of grasses: perennial ryegrass (lolium perenne) and sweet grass (hierochloe alpina). A mixture of both is often encountered. Of these two, Hierochloe alpina is the rarer and therefore more expensive species. The scent of its absolute is very complex; we can sense rustic notes of warmed grasses, tart tobacco, honey sweetness, and even chocolate nuances! The substance is very efficient; we recommend diluting it to 10 or 5% before use. Interestingly, it is the blade of this grass that adorns our famous Żubrówka ;) — Perfumiarz, translated from Polish
