Isoeugenyl Acetate is the acetylated version of Isoeugenol . It functions like a softer and sweeter version of Isoeugenol with less diffusion, however like its related alcohol it adds a lovely warmth to the dry down of a scent. It has a particularly good synergy with balsams and resins as evidenced by its use in Coco (1984) by Jacques Polge for Chanel at 1.2% (demo formula below). Use Isoeugenyl acetate to add a soft carnation or clove note or use it in a gourmand Speculaas cookie accord.
