Passing this chemical around the laboratory amongst the staff who had never smelled it resulted in uniform cries of "pee!". For one it is rabbit pee, for another it is the scent of sheep in the field (we are in New Zealand after all) and for a third "horse pee on flowers!" Para Cresyl Phenyl Acetate is the most floral of the para cresol esters and it is virtually indispensable when constructing a narcissus accord. It forms the fundamental animalic note in the famed Animalis base (our Animalia™ CMP ) and is in countless elegant scents from history where a careful balance with other materials accentuates the florals and links the bestial facet to the natural animalics.
