Petitgrain bergamotier is produced by steam distilling the foliage from bergamot trees. This is a wonderful material to add interest and lift to a fragrance. It blends exceedingly well with other members of the citrus family which it modifies and extends, most especially bergamot , lemon and sweet orange . Try it with our Lemon Verbena and Suralette Extra . Petitgrain bergamotier was a part of the petitgrain fond in the original Green Irish Tweed by Creed (see our demo formula Tartan Dream below) where it was blended with petitgrain paraguay and petitgrain citronnier (from the lemon tree).
