Sweet marjoram opens with warm spice — nutmeg and cardamom, not the green herbs you expect. A gentle woody undertone and faint medicinal sweetness sit underneath, but the dominant impression is soft, inviting warmth. It is one of the most underused naturals in fine fragrance. Use it in fougères to add warm depth between lavender top notes and oakmoss-coumarin bases. It gives colognes an unexpected richness — just enough exotic warmth to lift a simple citrus structure into something considered. A natural companion for nutmeg, bergamot, and clary sage. Fraterworks also stocks Wild Marjoram Oil ( Thymus mastichina ), which despite the name is a thyme — eucalyptus-forward, camphoraceous, and bra… — Fraterworks
