CAS: 88-41-5

Verdox is a lovely green apple top note. It is a demure chemical that doesn't dominate and can be used in quite high doses to sweeten a blend and soften the harshness of chemicals like Dihydromyrcenol. It has been used to great effect in Safari (Ralph Lauren), Ambre Narguile (Hermes), Neroli Portofino (Tom Ford), and Light Blue Pour Homme by Dolce and Gabbana. Verdox HC makes outstanding blends with Cashmeran which is almost a basenote mirror image, and is dynamic when combined with Dihydromyrcenol and Orcanox™. Note that the CAS number 20298-69-5 is specific to this very high purity verdox. Mixed isomer (the weaker form) is often listed as 88-41-5. — Fraterworks
