Diphenyl oxide has a geranium-like odour with green, leafy and metallic facets, and nuances of rose and powder. This material provides exceptional diffusion and can dramatically extend the persistence of volatile citrus components. Its geranium-like character transforms conventional rose accords into strikingly modern blends. Incorporate diphenyl oxide at low concentrations, around 1%, to avoid harshness. Combine with classic florals like lindenol ™ (terpineol) and geranyl acetate , or green notes like citral , for balanced blends.
