Methyl cyclogeranate belongs to the same family as damascone alpha and delivers a similar luminous, fruity-rosy radiance — but without the sensitisation issues that increasingly restrict the damascones. This is the unrestricted alternative that gives you the same palette of effects. The character is lighter and more transparent than damascone itself. Where damascone alpha punches hard with a jammy plum-rose impact, methyl cyclogeranate suggests it. The apple facet is clean and ripe, the rose dewy rather than heavy, and a faint camphoraceous undertone keeps it from tipping into sweetness.
