First appearing as a fragrance by Amie Guerlain in 1875, Cuir de Russie is a rich and intensely smoky animalic leather with rose and jasmine nuances. It has been used in countless fragrances and upon smelling its influence is clear in Knize Ten by Coty, Cuir de Russie by Ernest Beaux for Chanel, and numerous others.
